This edition will focus on the critical challenges of disinformation, misinformation and hate speech (MDH), with particular emphasis on gender-based violence (GBV).
Over two days, participants from academia, the technology sector, NGOs and international organisations will work together to develop innovative and practical solutions that promote peace and social cohesion. The challenges will be proposed by UNICEF – United Nations Children’s Fund, UNFPA – United Nations Population Fund, HI – Humanity & Inclusion, IOPDHR – International Observatory for Peace, Democracy and Human Rights, UN Women – United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, UNIDIR – United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research, ICRC – International Committee of the Red Cross, Décadré – a Swiss NGO working to advance equality in the media, the Canton of Vaud, and the Olympic Refuge Foundation.
The hackathon offers a unique opportunity to work across disciplines, tackle real-world challenges put forward by partner organisations, and turn ideas into tangible impact.
